Rose Lorraine Peifer
b. 1993

The UNC Herbarium has catalogued approximately 80 specimens collected by Rose Peifer. She and co-collectors Mark Peifer, Lillian McCormick, and Carol Ann McCormick are documenting the flora of Alamance County, North Carolina.

Rose Peifer is a graduate International Baccalaureate program at Cedar Ridge High School and an alumna of North Carolina Governor’s School East (2010).  She is a member of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill class of 2015.

Rose enjoys travel and frequently visits San Francisco and Yosemite National Park with family.  In 2004 she traveled to Bergamo and Ossimo Superiore, Italy, in 2007 she visited Selcuk & Istanbul, Turkey, and in 2011 she enjoyed a week in London, England with Gwen and Aziz Sancar.  Rose studied at the University of Jordan in Amman during the summer of 2012, and at Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú during the 2013-2014 academic year.
